A trio of promotions has resulted in a new administrative team at a Bolivar nursing center.
Ryan Skopec is the new administrator for Parkview Health Care Facility, according to a news release. He replaces longtime administrator Tim Francka, who was recently promoted to administrative director of long-term care, overseeing all of Citizens Memorial Health Care Foundation’s long-term care, residential care and independent living facilities.
Located at 119 W. Forest St., Parkview Health Care Facility is a 78-bed long-term skilled nursing center, including a 15-bed memory care unit. The facility offers inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services and operates nearby independent living apartments. Parkview is owned and operated by the CMH foundation in Bolivar.
Joining Skopec on the leadership team are Michele Burkhart as the new director of nursing, and Jennifer Nelson as assistant director of nursing, according to the release. Burkhart succeeds Rachel Wilhite, who was promoted to director of long-term care nursing operations to support nursing practice and operations in all CMH foundation long-term care facilities.
Skopec, a licensed nursing home administrator, has five years of health care experience, including two years as an administrator at Care Initiatives in Iowa, and one year at Accura HealthCare of Lake City in Iowa, according to the release. He previously was a dietary worker at Parkview Health Care Facility.
Burkhart has over 25 years of health care experience, having started her career at Parkview as a nursing assistant. Her health care career also includes seven years as director of clinical quality at MHC Healthcare in Marana, Arizona, according to her LinkedIn profile. Burkhart returned to Bolivar last year to work as assistant director of nursing at Parkview.
An eight-year veteran in the health care industry, Nelson has experience in hospital, skilled nursing and rehabilitation, hospice and behavioral health settings for organizations locally in Springfield, as well as Alabama, according to the release.
Plaza Shopping Center gained an arcade with the March 1 opening of The Flying Lap LLC; the repurposing of space operated by Burrell Behavioral Health resulted in the March 18 opening of the company’s second autism center; and a group of downtown business owners teamed up to reopen J.O.B. Public House.
