Burrell parent pens partnership with Indianapolis organization

Posted online

Burrell Behavioral Health parent company Brightli Inc. has inked a new partnership with an Indianapolis organization.

Adult & Child Health would become a subsidiary of Brightli through the partnership while maintaining its name and board, according to a news release. The partnership, approved by the boards of each organization, is expected to be finalized in the coming weeks, pending regulatory approval.

A&C is a state-designated community mental health center. With A&C under its umbrella, Brightli would have some 5,500 employees and revenue exceeding $500 million.

“To expand services in our communities, we need altogether new and different approaches,” A&C President and CEO Allen Brown said in the release. “With Brightli we’ve found a tremendous partner who is willing to dream big, and I know they feel the same way about Adult & Child.”

The partnership expands Brightli to its fifth state. A&C's service area comprises downtown Indianapolis, greater Marion and Johnson counties, and the surrounding region.

Brightli was formed as a joint venture created by Burrell and Preferred Family Healthcare Inc., according to past reporting.
