Flintrock building $12M subdivision in Marshfield

Marshfield is getting a new residential subdivision by Flintrock Home Builders, which plans to break ground March 26 for the $12 million, 50-lot development.

According to city officials, members of Flintrock, owned by Travis Little, have been seeking buildable single-family lots within city limits since 2021.

Home prices in the Pleasant Hill subdivision are expected to start around $240,000.

“Infrastructure should be complete around July with homes ready to purchase by late fall,” said Claye White, marketing vice president for Flintrock, in an email to Springfield Business Journal.

City officials say the development plan includes improvements to Buffalo Street and provides drinking water and fire suppression in the area. They also expect other residential and commercial developments to follow.

According to its website, Flintrock has developed subdivisions in Rogersville, Strafford, Willard, Ozark and Nixa, as well as north Springfield.

In Marshfield earlier this year, a multimillion-dollar affordable housing project broke ground. Jackson-based RCH Development Inc. and Columbia-based Wallace Architects LLC are teaming up for the roughly $9.7 million Jordan’s Place, a 40-unit housing development for adults with disabilities and senior citizens that’s considered a first-of-its-kind project in Webster County.
