The Greene County Commission has awarded more than a half-million dollars to small businesses through its latest American Rescue Plan Act grant round.
The commission yesterday approved 50 awards totaling $546,686, according to a news release.
The top recipient, with a $20,250 award, is Scramblers Inc., a breakfast and lunch restaurant that operates at 1131 E. Republic Road in Twin Oaks Shopping Center. It was the only business in the Greene County ARPA round that received over $20,000.
Small businesses that received at least $15,000 are Bellacino's Pizza & Grinders, at $18,250; Buckingham Smokehouse Bar-B-Q, at $18,000; G Cole B LLC, at $15,803; General Rental Center and Eventful Rental, at $18,750; Kinney Amusement & Vending, at $16,500; and Nonna's Italian Cafe, at $17,250. Greene County now has less than $4 million of its $56.9 million in ARPA funds left to distribute by year's end.
