Terry Bloodworth, owner and operator of Springfield Hot Glass Studio, says his son Gabe started working with him in at age fifteen. Bloodworth needed some help in filling a large order and didn’t like some of Gabe’s friends, so he enlisted him to work in the studio. Terry says Gabe learned quickly and took opportunities to learn. “I’ve had people say, ‘well, I guess you’ve taught him everything he knows.’ I said no, I taught him everything I know, and then at a certain point point I couldn’t teach him anything else because he has a great deal of talent and a fantastic work ethic,” Bloodworth says.
