“I think, for better or for worse, a lot of tech companies are almost too heavily reliant on the data, and sometimes don’t necessarily always apply that gut,” says Kirsten Miller, Compliance Manager at Uber. Miller says you should use the available numbers to find issues, but also trust your gut feeling when making important decisions. Eventually, Miller believes the two philosophies will merge to create a more effective decision-making process.
