National Association of Realtors reaches $418M settlement

The National Association of Realtors has reached a $418 million settlement.

Lawsuits have alleged NAR rules unfairly prop up agent commissions, according to The Associated Press.

As part of the settlement, the NAR agreed to no longer require a broker advertising a home for sale on its affiliated multiple listing services to offer any upfront compensation to a buyer’s agent.
