The Missouri Department of Revenue announced the new license office in the city of Rogersville is set to open next week.
An Oct. 4 launch is planned at 102 E. Front St., according to a news release. The Rogersville Area Chamber of Commerce earlier this year won the contract for the Rogersville motor vehicle and driver license office that went up for bid in the summer.
"The chamber of commerce is thrilled to bring the Rogersville license office to our community. This partnership aligns perfectly with our mission to support local businesses and improve the overall quality of life for our residents," said Stephanie White, chamber executive director, in the release. "We believe that having these services readily available in the heart of Rogersville will make life more convenient for our citizens and businesses alike."
The chamber in July announced it was awarded the bid and would relocate its headquarters to the Front Street building that also would house the license office. The chamber previously operated at 107 E. Center St.
A grand opening event for the Rogersville license office is scheduled Oct. 14, according to the release.
