In some cases, small to medium size employers provide only non-medical employee benefits. Trevor Croley, President of Croley Insurance and Financial says some larger employers who offer medical coverage find providing non-medical employee benefits can be a golden handcuff to help retain staff. Non-medical benefits include dental or vision coverage and short- or long-term disability insurance.

“Traditionally, these can be tricky, technical; employees don’t always understand sometimes, what they need, how they need to do that,” says Trevor Croley, President of Croley Insurance and Financial.
