Joel Thomas of Bates and Associates Architects, Sean Brownfield of Dapper Barber and The Hepburn, and John McQueary of Hotel Vandivort discuss their memories of downtown Springfield and how it went from its heyday in the fifties to blighted emptiness in a matter of only a few decades. Then they offer many of the reasons as to why they’ve chosen to participate in its resurgence and the rewards, risks, and demands associated with that participation.
