A local broker to help with Medicare enrollment, choices

Posted online

Medicare can be confusing, and enrollment can be a complicated and time-consuming process. “There’s just so much information being thrown at you when you’re approaching age 65,” said Andrea Croley, broker, health insurance specialist and Medicare advisor with Croley Insurance and Financial. “The information is coming from so many different sources so it’s important to have a broker on your side looking out for your best interests.”

Croley stressed the importance of working with a locally owned and operated broker who has experience working with local health systems, physicians and pharmacists. Croley also has relationships with attorneys who can handle things like social security and disability issues. “These are all partners of ours that we work with on a regular basis,” said Croley. “Having someone local who has cultivated these important partnerships is so much better for peace of mind than calling an 800 number. Knowing the providers and services provided is incredibly important.”

There are currently four brokers on the Croley Insurance staff who are well versed in Medicare and can assist with any Medicare issues, including getting signed up.

The brokers at Croley will instruct someone who is turning 65 on what they need and the steps they need to take to become eligible for Medicare. They will then cover the basics of Medicare and the enrollment process. Croley noted that there is a little more effort involved since the onset of the pandemic so having a broker is even more helpful.

“We make the complex simple,” said Croley. “We are advocates for our clients and we cultivate long-term relationships with them to help them make the best choices for their futures.”
