Investing In Employees At AmeriPride

Posted online

AmeriPride has been in business since 1889 and the family that started the business still owns it to this day. AmeriPride believes the key to its longevity has been the ability to adapt and change based on market needs.

AmeriPride Employees

Currently AmeriPride is looking to bring on new team members. “We really have something great to offer,” says GM Jay Rasmussen. “We really want to get the message out that the sky’s the limit here.”

AmeriPride makes huge investments in its employees, offering tuition reimbursement for those who want to further their education and scholarships for children of employees.

There are set schedule options and no working on weekends. AmeriPride also likes to promote from within. “Nothing gives me more satisfaction than when we promote people,” says Rasmussen, who started as a temp in the mailroom.

“If you’re willing to show up, work hard and demonstrate a winning attitude, we have a spot for you, no matter what your situation may be.

We have all levels of pay and great benefits. It’s unacceptable to us to know that there are people out there who are willing to work and feel they can’t find anything. They need to come work here. We’d love to give them a shot,” says Rasmussen.

AmeriPride Sustainability Practices

Ameripride has made sustainability a priority and as a leader in the textile rental industry, they feel it’s their responsibility to test green technologies and initiatives. AmeriPride has received multiple awards and is recognized as an industry leader for their green initiatives, including electric, compressed natural gas, and propane trucks; solar power programs and water conservation.

Commitment to People and Quality

This strong commitment to employees, customers and community has led to longevity unmatched in the industry. AmeriPride is looking forward to the next 128 years of service.

“We are trying to do the right thing the right way. We don’t just say it; we really do care about people and quality,” says Rasmussen. “If you don’t take care of your people then nothing else is going to matter.”
