Anderson Engineering: Continued Growth Drives New Structure

Posted online

Anderson Engineering is not only growing its physical presence with the opening of new Springfield headquarters. The company’s leadership has changed and Anderson continues to experience growth, adding offices and employees ahead of schedule.

In 2012 Anderson had two offices with fewer than 50 employees. In 2016, the company’s growth target was to have 100 employee owners by 2020. With a strategy that focused on expanding the company’s services and geographical territory, the company has already surpassed that goal and now has 150 employee owners in 10 offices in Missouri, Arkansas and Florida.

Anderson Engineering is a 100% employee owned company offering engineering, land surveying, landscape architecture and geographic information systems (GIS) services across the United States. Anderson’s team specializes in civil, structural and geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing, special inspections, mobile light detection and ranging (LiDar), which is a remote sensing method that uses light in the form of a pulsed laser to collect survey quality point data quickly and accurately, and commercial drone services.

Over the last few years, the company has added or significantly expanded its GIS, landscape architecture, structural engineering and transportation design teams. Newly appointed CEO, Jerrod Hogan, says, “We have fun, we work hard and our team has created an incredible place to work. We love helping our clients succeed.”

New Leadership Team
The above mentioned successful growth combined with their desire to continually improve has been the driving force behind Anderson’s recently restructured executive leadership team. Jerrod Hogan, PLS, has been named CEO, Jason Eckhart, PE, has been named chairman of the board, and Paul Engel, PE, has been named vice chairman of the board.

Hogan has been with Anderson nearly 20 years and has led much of the company’s recent new market growth strategies and acquisitions. He most recently served as company president and has served on the board of directors since 2005.

Eckhart was previously CEO of a firm that merged with Anderson in 2012. He has since been a president, member of the board of directors and has worked on growing the company’s infrastructure division.

Engel has been with Anderson for over 20 years and has led engineering teams and projects across the nation. He is a past president and has been on the board of directors since 2005.

These are major changes but Hogan assures that this leadership change up isn’t the main focus at Anderson. “This is not a story about one or two people and their new titles,” he says. “This is the middle of a success story about our amazing team of employee owners working hard to grow this company and to help our clients and team enjoy the American dream.”

“It is a privilege to be a part of such a great company,” says Hogan. “Our dedicated leadership team and employee owners work hard to deliver high quality services to our incredible clients.
I look forward to serving with the board to ensure continued success.”
