Are there benefits to employers that provide time off for COVID-19 vaccinations?

The American Rescue Plan (ARP) allows small and midsize employers to claim tax credits for providing paid sick and family leave to their employees due to COVID-19. This includes leave to receive or recover from COVID-19 vaccinations. The ARP tax credits are available to eligible employers that pay sick and family leave from April 1, 2021, through September 30, 2021.

Karen Shannon is Vice President of Business Consulting/CHRO for Ollis/Akers/Arney. Karen has served in senior leadership positions in banking and human resources for over 30 years.
