At least 100 people were killed yesterday in a massive explosion in Beirut, Lebanon.

Another 4,000 people were injured, and rescue workers are continuing to search for more than 100 people who are still missing.

Lebanese President Michel Aoun said the blast was caused by 2,750 tons of ammonium nitrate stored unsafely in a warehouse. The exact trigger of the explosion is unknown after a fire first broke out at the city's port area.
