Bayer Chairman Werner Wenning plans to step down in April.
“We have made and continue to make progress in handling the legal issues in the U.S. That’s why now is a good time to hand over to my successor,” said Wenning, 73.
Bayer has been embroiled in lawsuits claiming weedkiller Roundup causes cancer. Bayer became the owner of the product when it purchased Monsanto.
