St. Louis-based BJC HealthCare announced plans to cut 200 jobs as it outsources some information technology functions.
"We believe this structure will further strengthen and stabilize our technology infrastructure and position us to meet the expectations of our customers for a health care experience that is seamlessly supported by an exceptionally reliable and responsive IT platform," said BJC Senior Vice President of Communications June Fowler.
Officials say over 70% of the jobs have been moved elsewhere in BJC or the managed service provider.
