Case of basketball cards sells for $1.8M

An unopened case of 1986-87 Fleer basketball cards sold for roughly $1.8 million at auction on Thursday.

The case has 12 boxes with 36 packs to a box. It has been speculated that as many as 36 Michael Jordan rookie cards are in the set.

The buyer's identify was not revealed. There were 13 bids, with the minimum amount set at $250,000.
