Chili Restaurant Serves Work Life Balance

Annie Pope, CEO and Owner of The Chili Bowl By Cafe 21, closed her successful bakery to spend more time with her family. “It got to the point where it just kind of consumed everything. It was difficult to leave work at work,” Pope says. “I was constantly checking on emails and replying to customers and not spending quality time with my family like I should’ve been.” After working through burnout, she and her husband decided to reopen a restaurant serving chili dishes during lunch hours.
