Chipmaker to buy rival for nearly $21B

Analog Devices announced it would acquire rival chipmaker Maxim Integrated Products for nearly $21 billion.

The deal would create a company valued at $68 billion.

With the acquisition, Analog expects to boost its revenue by $8.2 billion.
