CNN fires Chris Cuomo

CNN fired anchor Chris Cuomo after he was suspended last week.

An outside law firm was retained by the network to review how Cuomo assisted his brother, former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, amid sexual harassment allegations.

"Chris Cuomo was suspended ... pending further evaluation of new information that came to light about his involvement with his brother's defense. We retained a respected law firm to conduct the review, and have terminated him, effective immediately," CNN officials said in a statement.
