Accounting firm Ernst & Young named Kim Rock as its first female managing partner in Kansas City.
Rock moved to Kansas City three months ago after previously living in Charlotte, North Carolina, for the past nine years. She's been an Ernst & Young partner since 2011.
“There are a lot of women coming out of schools with degrees in many professions who don’t necessarily move up in the workforce, and it's unfortunate,” Rock said. “We, as a firm, will continue to work on that and be focused on it."
