The former chief financial officer of St. Louis-based Common Ground Public Relations pleaded guilty to three counts of wire fraud.
From 2008 until March 2020, Lynese Cargill participated in a scheme to defraud the company of nearly $800,000, according to the U.S. attorney's office for the Eastern District of Missouri.
Cargill issued bank checks to herself through Common Ground's bank account and made unauthorized purchases on company credit cards, officials said.
