Giving Employees a Career Choice

“We think it’s a good thing if every employee has a number of choices. Maybe they’ll want to stay and make a career at Amazon and we welcome that,” says Juan Garcia, Director - Associate Development at Amazon. “But for other folks, we know Amazon is a stop on their person and professional journey.” Garcia says if an employee aspires to work in another career field, the company wants to help then attain that. Amazon’s Career Choice program pays for employees tuition and even brings instructors onto the company’s campus. “We know that often a program like this helps us attract high quality talent, helps us keep the talent engaged while they’re with us and drives down attrition as well.”
