Hall Ansley

In 1986, two prominent lawyers joined forces and created what is now known as the law firm of Hall Ansley, P.C.  Fred Hall was a solo practitioner focusing his practice on estate planning and David Ansley left the large insurance litigation firm of Woolsey Fisher and began representing individuals and families who suffered significant personal injury.  Together, they built a law firm that has provided legal services for over thirty years.  

While the two are looking towards retirement, the firm is thriving and plans on continuing as Hall Ansley, P.C.  Lawyers Michael Mergen, Deborah Dodge, and Benjamin Stringer are the current leaders of the firm, and together they have narrowed the focus of their practice to personal injury, medical negligence, products liability and automobile crashes. The firm also represents employees with employment conflicts and maintains a hefty worker’s compensation practice.   

“Mr. Hall and Mr. Ansley have been an inspiration to the attorneys here by not only serving their clients with open lines of communication but also by adding their professional skill and knowledge to the legal community,” says Benjamin Stringer. “We’ll continue that legacy by showing up to court with the same type of preparation that these two fine men instilled in us.” 

“We never reject a potential client without informing them of our legal analysis,” says Mergen, “We meet with our clients personally so that we can begin solving their legal problems early on.”  

Hall Ansley’s lawyers all actively participate in the state and local legal community and the firm stays abreast of any changing rules or laws. Sometimes they even have a hand in the change. Attorney Steven Blair recently appealed a case’s dismissal, asserting that the patient properly complied with Missouri Law. Later, due to his efforts, the Court of Appeals issued a legal opinion that reversed the trial court’s dismissal, effecting a change that will serve to protect injured patients and their families in the future. 

When asked what sets them apart, Dodge says, “We listen. We believe that every person that calls us is seeking justice and needs to be heard. We offer them a voice.”
