Diversity and Inclusion

'The team at Paul Mueller Company shares an internal commitment to create long term change through acceptance, inclusion and kindness. In 2020, the company began formal diversity and inclusion training for all 650 employees in its Springfield and Iowa locations with plans to continue expanding this dialogue and training in the years to come. The ultimate goal is to be a positive influence on coworkers, internal culture and our commitments to each other.

Training and Tuition Reimbursement

Employees can work full time and get their education all in one place through support of the company’s tuition reimbursement program. Paul Mueller Company also offers on the job training and mentorship through its free onsite welding and grinding school. As employees finish the onsite classes they have the opportunity to promote and grow within the company.

Health Clinic & Retirement Plan

“We want to help everyone strike a good work-life balance and plan for retirement respectively,” said Hohensee. Mueller provides work from home opportunities for those whose work can be accomplished remotely. Employees receive 10 paid holidays each year and a 401(k) matching program. Employees and their families also have access to a free onsite Mercy health clinic four days a week.

Charitable Arm

PMC Cares is an employee support program for employees experiencing difficulties. PMC Cares also has an employer charitable arm that donates to local nonprofits. “Our team truly cares for one another and our community,” said Hohensee.
