Microsoft in talks to buy AI firm for $16B

Microsoft Corp. is in talks to buy artificial intelligence company Nuance Communications, sources familiar with the matter told Reuters.

The proposed deal reportedly is valued at $16 billion.

Nuance's voice recognition technology helped launch Apple's Siri assistant.
