“I think it puts managers in a very complicated position,” says Ashley Fletcher, licensed clinical social worker. “It’s difficult to say you’re not allowed to share your views on those things.” Fletcher says it can be very difficult to manage a group of people who have strong emotions and differing opinions. She suggests trying to be supportive of all your staff and encouraging them to find opportunities outside the workplace to express their opinions.
