Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt's office said yesterday the state could get as much as $500 million as part of a nationwide opioid settlement.
The three biggest U.S. drug distribution companies and drugmaker Johnson & Johnson are approaching a tentative settlement.
The settlement with state and local governments reportedly is worth $26 billion.
