A new development is in the works along U.S. Highway 60 in Rogersville.

Meraki Development Group is planning an industrial office park at Highway 60 and Farm Road 193, said Joel Thomas, principal with project architect Buf Studio. He said the developers are local but did not want to be identified.

Thomas said the first phase of the project comprises a 23,000-square-foot building. Construction is scheduled to start this winter and wrap up in the spring of 2021, he said, noting Springfield-based King Built Properties LLC is serving as general contractor.

A second 25,000-square-foot phase and a third 23,000-square-foot phase also are planned, though a timeline hasn't been determined, he said. The project's cost was undisclosed. Thomas said the development could be used for office or distribution space, among other tenant types.

The project site is located near Citizens Bank of Rogersville and Heritage Tractor.
