Greg DeLong, who is a senior vice president and financial adviser in Morgan Stanley’s Springfield wealth management office, was named to Forbes magazine’s 2021 list of America’s Best-in-State Wealth Advisors.

He ranked No. 56 based on $242 million in team assets managed and typical account size of $750,000-$10 million.

Springfield First Community Bank hired Zilian Falig as an assistant banking center manager. With five years of banking, finance and investment work experience, she’s responsible for coaching and developing personal bankers and tellers on sales and service techniques.

Arvest Bank was listed in Forbes magazine’s Best-In-State Banks 2021 for Arkansas, Missouri and Kansas. Across all states, 135 banks were selected in partnership with market researcher Statista and based on surveys of roughly 25,000 checking account customers.

Old Missouri Bank hired Scott Speight as a vice president and loan officer. He has 20 years of banking experience and a master’s in finance from Missouri State University.

Culinary
Askinosie Chocolate LLC was named one of Food & Wine magazine’s inaugural Game Changers: 25 People and Companies Changing the Way We Eat and Drink. Those selected are “leaders in the culinary field who push their peers to dream bigger and innovate harder.”

Education
Two students in College of the Ozarks’ mass communications department were recognized with videography awards: Verve Reposar, of Walnut Shade, first place by the Missouri Broadcast Educators Association for the video/short film “Ghostin” and Paige Steelman, of Springfield, first place by the Fault Line Film Festival for the mystery/suspense film “Invisible.”

Colleges of Distinction selected Evangel University for its 2021-22 listing. Criteria to make the list cover four areas: engaged students, great teaching, vibrant communities and successful outcomes. Evangel was highlighted for its business and education departments.

Entertainment
Itec Attractions Inc. promoted Tanya Bluto, a veteran of the company with nearly 20 years of experience, to president. She most recently served as vice president of operations and spearheaded the creation of the recently opened Heroes Tastes and Taps restaurant. Bluto succeeds her grandfather, Paul Bluto, who held the role for a year.

Law
Spencer Fane LLP hired Charli Steed as an associate in its tax, trusts and estates practice group. She previously ran her own law office and has a Juris Doctor and master’s in taxation from Washington University School of Law.

Municipal
Rachel Lightfoot, of Bolivar, was appointed as Polk County clerk by Gov. Mike Parson. She has 11 years of banking experience, including roles as a commercial loan assistant and assistant vice president for Bank of Missouri.

Transportation
OzAir Charter Service added Brandon Busch as a first officer. He has experience with aerial survey work, and prior to becoming a pilot worked for Taney County Ambulance Service as an emergency medical technician, dispatcher and field training officer.

Andrew Maroney, operations director at OzAir Charter Service, became a certified aviation manager by the National Business Aviation Association and the CAM Governing Board. The designation indicates that he has reached an advanced level of expertise in running a corporate flight department.
