The National Rifle Association filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Friday.
The filing came six months after New York Attorney General Letitia James filed suit against the organization, seeking for it to be dissolved for allegedly misappropriating funds.
The NRA reported assets and liabilities each between $100 million and $500 million in the bankruptcy filing.
The bankruptcy plan, in part, represents a restructuring as the group moves to Texas from New York.
