Dani’s Flour Pot Bakery
After getting its start as a food truck in 2019, Dani’s Flour Pot Bakery converted into a brick-and-mortar operation with a Sept. 1 opening at 1427 E. Cherry St., Ste. B. The Rountree neighborhood bakery shares space with live music and bar venture The Royal in a 1,700-square-foot building that also houses Skully’s Ramen restaurant. Bakery owner Danielle Hunnell said she signed a month-to-month lease for an undisclosed rate with B.J. Lowrance, who owns The Royal. Hunnell said her bakery’s menu includes pies, such as caramel apple and honey lavender, and pop tartlets, cinnamon rolls and quiches for sale during mornings and early afternoons, while The Royal opens in the evenings. Slices of pie cost $5, with most whole pies priced at $25, she said. Hunnell said she moved to a storefront to give herself more time and room to bake, adding she sold her food truck but still caters events. The bakery also remains a vendor at the C-Street City Market, which runs April through October.

Nourish’d Wellness Center and Spa
Rogersville health care clinic Nourish’d Wellness Center and Spa opened Oct. 27 at 319 S. Main St., Ste. H, in the Apple Market shopping center. Owner Shauna Kayser, a registered nurse with over two decades of health care experience, said she operates her wellness center in 1,200 square feet of space shared with her husband, Dr. Robert Kayser, who opened Kayser Chiropractic Wellness Center Inc. in Rogersville six years ago. Shauna Kayser said she works for his practice in addition to her new venture. The couple signed a one-year lease for an undisclosed rate with GGW Investments LLC, she said, adding startup costs were $4,000 for Nourish’d, which offers intravenous therapy, intramuscular injections, vitamins, weight management and skin care services. Kayser said her past health care work includes 20 years as an office administrator for plastic surgeon Dr. Gary Hall in Overland Park, Kansas, as well as an operating nurse with Mercy Springfield Communities.

On Angels’ Wings
The first brick-and-mortar headquarters for 8-year-old nonprofit On Angels’ Wings opened its doors Sept. 27 at 1440 E. Lark St. Michelle Cramer, founder and president of the Springfield mental health and wellness organization, said she penned a two-year lease with landlord Mark Hunter for roughly 1,250 square feet in Meadow Lark Plaza. The annual lease cost is $15,073, plus utilities, she said, adding relocation and renovation expenses for the formerly home-based nonprofit were $11,500. Cramer said she is the lone employee for the otherwise all-volunteer organization. The office adds meeting space for grief recovery groups and two studios for the nonprofit’s primary service: free photography designed to improve the mental health and wellness of families with medically fragile children. On Angels’ Wings has 50 volunteer photographers who have provided over 900 photography sessions in Missouri, including Springfield, Kansas City and St. Louis, according to its website.
