Feedback School of Music
One music business replaced another with the July 1 opening of Feedback School of Music at 1658 E. Sunshine St. Husband and wife Justin and Jennifer Ward started the music instruction shop after School of Rock Springfield closed there in April. Justin Ward declined to disclose startup costs or lease terms for the 3,300 square feet with property owners Steve and Renee Eiffert. Ward said he left his job in June as an instructor at Pellegrino’s School of Music & Art for the new venture, which offers individual and band training for guitar, bass, drums and other instruments. String and horn instruments should be added within a couple of months, he said, noting he leads a staff of four at the shop. Private sessions also are offered, he said, with a plan to begin recording practices and adding DJ classes.

Guy Fieri’s Branson Kitchen and Bar
Another celebrity chef eatery landed in Taney County June 16 with the opening of Guy Fieri’s Branson Kitchen and Bar. The nearly 8,000-square-foot restaurant at Branson Landing is a partnership between Fieri – best known for The Food Network’s “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” show – and Tennessee-based Face Amusement Group’s hospitality subsidiary. Spokesperson Lindsay Rice said the Branson restaurant employs around 70. She declined to disclose startup costs or lease terms with HCW Development Co. LLC, which also served as general contractor for the renovations designed by H Design Group LLC. Buffalo Wild Wings previously occupied the 100 Branson Landing Blvd., Ste. 1111, space. The menu features Bacon Mac ’N’ Cheeseburger, Trash Can Nachos and Motley Que Pulled Pork. Entree prices generally range $13-$23. Fieri’s restaurant at Branson Landing follows Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen opening in September 2019.

Bub’s Distillery
After three years of manufacturing spirits in Republic, Bub’s Distillery moved operations May 12 to Rogersville. At 1846 S. State Highway 125, the distillery manufactures moonshine, gin and whiskey, and products are sold at Macadoodles and Hy-Vee, said co-owner Spencer Detherage. Bub’s Distillery also has a tasting room for sampling its spirits, along with mixed drinks and slushies, at the 4,000-square-foot building, formerly occupied by Flory Dairy Equipment Inc. Detherage said drinks served on-site are $5-$7, and the most popular is its moonshine slushy. Food trucks and live music are present on the weekends, he said, declining to disclose relocation costs or lease terms with CCW Properties LLC. Co-owned by his father, David, Detherage said the business moniker is based on the nickname his family gave him as a child. There are three employees.
