The Grill Guys of Missouri
Longtime grilling hobbyists made a professional pivot with the Aug. 27 opening of The Grill Guys of Missouri LLC. Friends Skyler Spartan and Charlie Wallace co-own the 932 U.S. Highway 60 business in Republic. Spartan said startup costs were roughly $63,000 for their first-time ownership venture, adding they signed a one-year lease for $960 per month with Royal Station LLC. The owners are the lone employees at the 1,120-square-foot shop, which sells barbecue grills and smokers, as well as accessories, fuels, seasonings and sauces. Spartan said grill brands sold include Big Green Egg, Weber and Napoleon, with free assembly and delivery in a 25-mile radius on orders of $300 or more. The Grill Guys also makes repairs for $35 per hour plus parts. Spartan most recently worked as a contract consultant for a debt settlement firm in Dallas, while Wallace exited his sales job with Preferred Pump & Equipment LP to collaborate on the retail shop.

Big Time Results
New ownership took over personal training business Big Time Results LLC on Sept. 24. An employee at the company since 2015, Austin Ruesink said he, along with Cameron Jones and Craig McCoy, bought the venture for an undisclosed price from Noah Alldredge. Ruesink declined to disclose lease terms with JKAA LLC, noting Big Time Results, which opened in 2007, fills roughly 6,000 square feet at 201 S. Ingram Mill Road. Services of the 12-employee fitness company include personal and group training, corporate wellness classes and nutrition consultation. Personal training is $40 for a one-hour session and $45 for in-home service, according to its website. He said plans are to add yoga in February, with classes starting at $12. Ruesink said he handles daily operations for the company, adding he has a bachelor’s degree in dietetics from Missouri State University. Jones works as a partner at Parks & Jones Attorneys at Law LLC, while McCoy is president of Mercy Springfield Communities.

Ozark Mountain Hydration
Friends and first-time business owners Kathryn Barber and Madi Sheppard launched Ozark Mountain Hydration LLC on Jan. 14. Barber said the home-based venture was founded to bring IV wellness therapy to clients wherever they are most comfortable. She declined to disclose startup costs. Ozark Mountain Hydration employs five registered nurses to administer the IV therapy. It offers IV services for hydrating and increasing energy levels with a liter of saline filled with electrolytes and B vitamins, or a drip that boosts the immune system with vitamin C, zinc and electrolytes. Sheppard said she has an accounting background and does bookkeeping for the company, while Barber has 10 years of nursing experience. The partners plan to maintain full-time jobs in addition to their new company but declined to disclose their current places of employment. Barber’s LinkedIn profile indicates she is a trauma nurse practitioner with CoxHealth. Ozark Mountain Hydration’s first IV session costs $100 with future services ranging $140-$200.

If Ms Barber declined to disclose her place of employment why was it necessary for SBJ to report it? It had nothing to do with the story.
