OxyContin maker Purdue Pharma has agreed to plead guilty to criminal charges related to its role in the U.S. opioid crisis.
The Department of Justice also reached an $8.3 billion settlement deal with the company.
Purdue and other drug makers have been accused of encouraging the over-prescription of opioids.
