Gov. Mike Parson yesterday said he would call up more than 1,000 National Guard troops amid violent protests in the state.
Parson activated the National Guard on Saturday while declaring a state of emergency.
The deployment announcement came after four St. Louis police officers were shot and a former Moline Acres police chief was killed.
