A proposed silica mine in Sainte Genevieve County won a key permit from the state of Missouri.
The Missouri Department of Natural Resources granted NexGen Silica a surface mining permit.
The company has sued the Sainte Genevieve County Commission and its health department in an attempt to strike down a county health ordinance that's blocking the plans.
