Nixa-based Pure & Clean LLC added several new leadership roles amid a restructuring at the company triggered by a retirement.

The most senior-level change consolidates the company's chief operating officer and chief financial officer roles. Laura Freeman, who has served as CFO of several Freeman family businesses, including Pure & Clean, is taking on the role as COO Bernie Dana retires at the end of the month.

“This restructuring enables us to transition smoothly through the retirement of our COO and positions us to expand on 2020’s exponential growth in sales,” CEO Trent Freeman said in the release.

The cleaning and disinfectant products company is promoting Vice President Ryan Freeman to the newly created role of chief revenue officer. He'll be responsible for development of health care, environmental and sports revenues, according to the release. In addition to Pure & Clean, Freeman has experience with Cerner Corp. and AT&T Inc.

New positions at Pure & Clean also include:
• corporate controller, which Tyler Ellsworth took on Dec. 14 after previously working with companies such as Bass Pro Shops and American National;
• warehouse manager, taken on by Dan Ressel effective Jan. 1 after his previous experience with KFC and Innovative Resources; and
• chief marketing officer, a new position for Roma Pearce, who has held various business development roles for the company.

Pure & Clean in July was named Entrepreneur of the Year for Springfield Business Journal's Economic Impact Awards. Trent Freeman previously said revenue was up by nearly 1,000% from 2018 through July 2020 as the company’s disinfectant niche became increasingly valued amid the pandemic.

Trent and Ryan Freeman are brothers, and Laura Freeman is their mother, according to a company spokesperson.
