Leadership Style

Listening more than I talk allows me to learn as much as I can about the people I’m leading. I strive to let them be themselves, love them for who they are, teach them in a way they need to be taught and find out what they need, then provide that for them.

This leadership style developed while I was very young. Growing up poor, I knew there was no way I would continue that tradition into my 20s. During my teen years instead of breaking away on my own, I stayed to financially help my parents and siblings. I basically took over the leadership role in my family. Eventually I realized my parents had enough money, they just weren’t spending it wisely. So, I showed them the road map to being fine.

Leadership Legacy

My entire career has been built on learning and absorbing as much as possible about whatever field I am working in, then taking that information to help others. Even after leaving the corporate world to be a mother, I never shied away from a professional challenge. I started helping small businesses take off. From working in a startup clothing boutique to managing a marina and mini mall, I thrive on helping others succeed. After all, if they are succeeding, I am succeeding.

After wanting to be in real estate for 10 years, last year all the stars aligned at the right time and I decided to get my license. My leadership style has served my clients and me well. For the person buying or selling a home it’s almost always emotional, not transactional. Listening to them and teaching them about the process helps to assure them that we are a team, whether they’re buying their first home or selling their family farm.
