Simon & Schuster yesterday named Dana Canedy its senior vice president and publisher.
The decision comes as Simon & Schuster owner ViacomCBS announced in March it would sell the publishing house.
Canedy, a former journalist with The New York Times, most recently has been the administrator of the Pulitzer Prizes.
