Arizona Sen. Krysten Sinema agreed late Thursday to move forward with a climate, prescription drug and spending bill supported by Democrats.
Democrats need all 50 Democratic votes for the bill to pass with Vice President Kamala Harris as tiebreaker. The bill is a key component of President Biden’s domestic agenda.
To lock in Sinema’s support, Democrats removed a carried interest tax provision that would have taxed private equity and hedge fund executives.
