Some DC small businesses close temporarily

Some small businesses in Washington, D.C., have closed temporarily as President-elect Joe Biden's Jan. 20 inauguration approaches.

The city essentially is under lockdown as thousands of National Guard troops set up strict security measures in the wake of the Jan. 6 insurrection at the Capitol.

“This week, in particular, there are a lot of businesses that have boarded up in preparation for the week,” said Jessica Swan, a Washington, D.C., restaurant manager, in an interview with Fox Business. “With the National Guard present, foot traffic is a little light."
