Springfield chamber fills talent retention role

Posted online

The Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce named Tori Reaves as its new talent retention coordinator.

Reaves started June 7, according to a news release issued yesterday. She succeeds Katie Jones, who held the role for nearly four years before exiting in March to join Revel Advertising as project manager, according to her LinkedIn profile.

Reaves joins the chamber from O'Reilly Automotive Inc.'s corporate office, for which she worked as marketing promotions specialist. At the chamber, she's the staff liaison and coordinator for The Network group for young professionals, and she connects with area universities to encourage students to stay and work in the Springfield area after graduating.

"Tori’s energy and enthusiasm are just what The Network needs to continue thriving and growing into the future," chamber President Matt Morrow said in the release. “The current workforce shortages affect all aspects of our economy, but one of the best groups to help address that issue is a highly engaged core of young professionals who are passionate about our community."
