After working for political campaigns and within Rep. Billy Long’s district office, Royce Reding, 36, co-founded Nevont, an employee benefits brokerage. Within the past year, Nevont has grown 233% and added four employees, and Reding says the firm has placed minorities and women in key roles.
As a company leader, Reding says the success of the business is directly tied to the success of his employees. He encourages them to rely on the team and resources available to them, a strategy he also follows.
“I try to operate by the motto, ‘Only do it if I can own it,’ meaning if I don’t have the resources to own it in full, I try to pass on the opportunity,” Reding says.
