Amazon shares top $3,000 for 1st time

Amazon's shares on Monday exceeded $3,000 for the first time in company history.

Amazon is now worth more than $1.5 trillion, joining tech giants such as Apple and Microsoft that are above that level.

Comparisun, a company that allows small- to medium-sized firms to compare different business products, predicts Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos will become the world's first trillionaire by 2026.
