Free Speech Systems, a media company owned by conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, has filed for bankruptcy.
Jones is on trial in Texas, where Free Speech Systems is based, for defamation against the families of one or more of the children killed in the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School attack.
In April, Jones’ company Infowars and two others of his business entities also filed for bankruptcy protection. Courts in Texas and Connecticut already found Jones liable for defamation for his claim that the school massacre was a hoax using actors to attempt to increase gun control in the U.S.
