Become an Offline Influencer at Burrell Behavioral Health

Posted online
Whether on TikTok, Instagram or any number of social media platforms, you’ll find influencers whose posts address mental health issues, often their own. At Burrell Behavioral Health, our team is made up of what we like to call Offline Influencers. Offline Influencers don’t need tens of thousands of followers to change people’s lives, because their direct interactions with the people they help resonate in ways a social media post cannot.

There are many opportunities, regardless of your current education and experience, to join the Burrell team. You might think a position in the behavioral health industry requires an advanced degree, and many do. But many don’t, and they have served as launchpads for countless team members who have advanced from within – all while earning a competitive salary and benefits in their current, difference-making positions. Burrell encourages advancement from within through training, mentorship and student loan reimbursement opportunities.
Many of our Offline Influencers join the Burrell team because they have a passion for helping others through life’s challenging issues – anxiety, addiction, depression and trauma among them. You can find our Offline Influencers not just in traditional treatment centers but also in schools, in homes and across the communities we serve. And if working with people to help improve their lives sounds like an inspiring way to make a living to you or someone you know, Burrell might have the right opening for you to launch your career.
Here are just a few areas where your journey can begin:

School-Based Support
Our school-based behavioral technicians work hand-in-hand with school-based therapists to meet children in need where they are to provide them with help for their behavioral challenges. Together, our school-based teams get to see first-hand the success stories of the students they’ve worked with. As a behavioral technician, you can play a vital role in coordinating care for clients and assisting with exercises, activities and more as guided by the clinical treatment team during therapy sessions.

Community Support Specialists (CSS)
Our CSS team helps provide support for people with serious and persistent mental illnesses who also have minimal resources. A community support specialist works with individuals to practice the skills they need to meet goals for independent living and community integration. They meet clients primarily outside of a traditional clinic setting, often in a client’s home or in a community setting. If you prefer to work outside of an office, then a CSS role might be right for you. Many of Burrell’s CSS team members say the position was their first job in the field of mental health and served as a springboard to a long and satisfying career full of opportunity.
Client Access Representatives
Client access representatives serve as the face of our organization, creating a positive first impression for our clients, staff and leadership team. Along with a variety of receptionist and clerical duties, you’ll also have the opportunity to work closely with our providers and support teams to ensure that our clients receive the highest level of care.

This is just a sample of the possible entry points into a career at Burrell. No matter how you begin your career at Burrell Behavioral Health, you are in the business of saving lives once you are on the team.
