Community Foundation of the Ozarks Inc. announced a new grant program in partnership with the Children’s Trust Fund.
The $670,000 Facility Improvement and Infrastructure Grant Program is designed to support nonprofits that work to prevent, identify or treat child abuse and neglect in CFO's central and southern Missouri service area, according to a news release.
Nonprofits can apply for up to $100,000 in grants to fund improvements such as equipment and furniture, renovations, exam room equipment and security systems. Applications are open on CFO's website through Oct. 26, with grant recipients scheduled to be announced in December.
"As Missouri’s foundation for child abuse prevention, the Children’s Trust Fund’s primary responsibility is to provide grants to community-based agencies and organizations throughout the state that focus on strengthening families and preventing child maltreatment," officials said in the release.
