China bans foreign computer equipment from government offices

China ordered all foreign computer equipment and software to be removed from government offices and public institutions.

The ban requires removal within three years.

HP, Dell and Microsoft could be delivered a blow through the ban, which is similar to the U.S. blacklisting Chinese technology.
